Tip = Bill × (tip % ÷ 100)  ·  Total = Bill + Tip  ·  Per person = Total ÷ People

Traditionally pre-tax subtotal, but many tip on the total for simplicity — usually a dollar or two difference.

How do I split a bill with a tip?

Add the tip, then divide by people. $60 + 20% = $72 ÷ 4 = $18 each.
